Adam Baer is planning to put large scale art on the Playa this year. The plan is to create a near-life sized WHALE SKELETON out of recycled materials and place it out near the perimeter fence (2:00ish arm of brc) The spine will be made of white 5 gallon plastic buckets(have already),the ribs of a salvaged water tank(have already) ,the head & flippers & tail made of cardboard/plywood/fiberglass(have to procure).
Any Raisins interested in participating in the creation of this art object and/or contributing materials , please contact me at this site or email at
spacebaer@hailmail.net or call at 831 420-1522.

  • please see referance photos to get an idea of what is intended. Then visualize it a little more clunky/funky post -apocalyiptic trash chic.
    • The Whale of a Party was successful in raising a significant portion of the funds necessary to start this project. More funds are needed ,please donate if you can.
The steel pipe spine is built, the bucket-vertebrae and ribs are going to be attached soon. Next comes the real challenging part of crafting the skull and flippers out of plywood/wire mesh/cardboard/fiberglass and paint. Wish me luck in this huge endeavor.
